YOU Made This Possible! // A “Raise to Reopen” Update from Uganda

In December, thanks to our Advocates, supporters and friends like YOU — together we raised over $30,000 during our #GivingTuesday “Raise to Reopen” campaign to reopen our school, Global Leaders Primary, safely.

This week, your donations are in action on the ground in Namasale, Uganda where local construction crews are hard at work bat-proofing our campus, building new drainable pit latrines, setting up hand washing stations, renovating classrooms and most importantly, building our first school clinic where our new nurse will be ensuring the health & safety of our students each day.

We are so excited to share this month’s “Update from Uganda” where our Co-Founder & Uganda Country Director, Collines Angwech, shares exactly how your support is being deployed to make a difference right now.

From all of us at Far Away Friends — THANK YOU for making this impact possible. It’s because of generous friends like YOU who supported our #GivingTuesday “Raise to Reopen” campaign that our students will be returning to a safe & healthy school environment over the next couple months! We are so grateful for your partnership in making a difference #FORTHEKIDS.
