In rural Uganda, nearly 75% of students will drop out of school before reaching high school. This season, we’re expanding our work to ensure every student makes it to their graduation day. We need your help on #GivingTuesday to empower and equip 3,000 students at our partner schools across rural Uganda with Skills for Life.

As part of our new Schools for Schools program, our high school club partners from across the United States are joining us for #GivingTuesday and fundraising to support the launch of a Skills for Life course at each of their Sister Schools in Amolatar District, Uganda!
What We’re Funding: Skills for Life
Self-Development & Empowerment through Education
Our year-long Skills for Life courses will be focused on equipping youth (grades P4 - S2) with a variety of self-development and empowerment lessons on a variety of topics from building healthy relationships and setting boundaries, to understanding adolescence, practicing assertiveness, decision making and nonviolent communication.
Menstrual Hygiene Kits for Every Girl
In rural Uganda, lack of sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene resources often lead to high drop-out rates and early pregnancies. Our vision is to ensure every girl has the tools she needs to stay in school during her period. Every girl who participates in our Skills for Life course will also receive a free AfriPads menstural hygiene kit as part of our Schools for Schools program.

Through the Schools for Schools program, and our new Skills for Life curriculum, we’re expanding our work to reach 3,000 students across Amolatar.
